Line 1 shows people being hanged and is
followed by people of different races who are
queuing to vote.  Line 2 shows fatherless
children and their heroines (mothers),
followed by bounded people representing the
voiceless, weapons of war and destruction,
and heroes and heroines disabled by war and
other disasters.  Line 3 shows people behind
bars (some are guilty, some aren’t), followed
by the tools of Justice and Injustice.  The four
edges show beautiful patterns of leaves and
water, representing a friendly environment
and, more importantly, hope.

Beyond a mountain lies a valley, darkness
always disappears to give room for light.
Anger and depression vanish and give room
for love.  Hope, faith, desires, determination,
and strength keep the mind from failing.  In
spite of disasters, there are luxuries that make
life worth living, but who bears the burdens of
the disasters? Global Burdens says it all.

Global Burdens

Global Burdens was inspired by
unfortunate events that made the earth
an unfriendly planet-- Years of witch
hunting, years of slave trade, years of
racism, years of human sacrifices,
years of segregation, years of
colonialism, years of injustice, years of
election malpractices/frauds, years of
innocents behind bars, and years of
jungle justice.

Non-stop wars and diseases, not to
mention natural disasters that are
beyond our control added insult into
injury. Who bears these burdens?
This artwork illustrates a woman
gracefully bearing an oval shape
object that represents the world.
Inside the world are illustrations of
past, present, and probably the future:
